EDN had an article about this in Design Ideas around March 2006. Maxim has part of it in an app-note. I didn't really get it. Maybe, ill try again.

Hi again,

Very interesting. I had thought about using the power supply terminals as part of the circuit itself but didnt want the op amp power supply current to affect the current setting. I guess they didnt see my post yet :)
Next i guess i should take a look at what happens with resistors that are not perfectly matched, like say 1 percent tolerance devices.
 
For low current, I like yours. Maybe you could send it in? instructions on the right side.
