yesterday i noticed that a function generator in our lab was giving an unusual output. i connected the function generator to every oscilloscope and the waveform was the same. it was the waveform like that of a step recovery diode (snap diode). the waveform started from 0 deg and uptil 270 deg it was like a sine wave. then it snaped off and after that the next wave began from 15 deg. the lab assistant didnt know what was wrong. can someone tell me what was the matter with the function generator
