problem in interfacing motors with l239d

can ne1 help me out ???
problem in connecting the microcontroller with motors with l239 d ...
i want to know that when i wll connect the microcontroller with motors then l239d will be used as interfacing circuit ..........
but which pin of microcontroller will be connected with which pin of l239d??

i m using 89V51RD2 a 40 pin micro controller ..........
not ATMEGA 28 pin one ............
so i m hving the problem of this connection ...........
