Lately when its on it sounds like a motor boat.
and yes I can still hear music etc but the motor boat sound?
Thinking its a filter cap on power supply??
any thoughts on repair or just buy new??

Filter cap in the power supply sounds like the first place to look. It would be a cheap easy fix.

If you can get the case apart without destroying it.

If you can get inside it, it's probably worth repair: the filter capacitor is unlikely to be expensive.
