Printing text in Eagle

I am trying to print board text with Eagle. However, when I print off my board layouts any symbols or numbers I have just come out as black squares and rectangles!

I'm sure all you PCB makers out there can understand how frustrating this is for me! Can anyone tell me how I can rectify this, if I can?
