Hello,

I have a micro-controller (Freescale S12G128) that can use a voltage supply from 3.2 to 5.5 volts. I plan to use a lithium ion battery to power the project. The battery voltage is 3.7 volts. Would I need to use a voltage regulator.

The operating frequency of the S12G128 is not effected by supply voltage. Also no ADC will be used.

Ray.

hi ray,
That should work fine, add the usual 100nF decoupling across the battery.
