Hi,

I'll begin working soon with a DSP Processor (developed inside company).

The DSP can switch Power Mode from 'normal power mode' to D2 State.

I'd like to understand the Power Management and transitions between power modes.

I actually googled Power Mode D2, but found only some MSDN WIN8 explanation, while i'm interested in Embedded Processor.

Are you familiar with good guide / article on it?

Thank you very very much.

This explains the basic concepts of DSP power management schemes.

Essentially, the divide between processor power requirements (relatively constant between "sleep" and "awake") and I/O power requirements (variable and not always predictable except for MIN and MAX).

Management schemes, especially for imbedded, battery operated DSPs, can be quite complex.
