hi
im new member here:) i just want to ask if there are projects that includes power, mechatronics and autotronics engineering togather we tried to look for many ideas but they are alraedy designed we thought about line follower of the car which makes the car wlak on a straight line and if the car go away from the line it will return (but it is already designed)
we also thought about thermal sensor and cooling instrument of the car((and its also designed))
so could any one please help us to find an idea for our project !!
thanx

There are so many people in the world designing stuff that, with limited resources, it's quite difficult to find a concept that no one has ever built before. Asking other people for ideas won't give you designs that have never been done before either...perhaps it would be best to pick a neat project rather than one that has never been done before? For a school project with very limited resources and time...to find something that has never been done before seems like a pretty ludicrous criterion.

That said, I think undulating snake robots are very cool (they have been done before, but probably not often). Lots of repeating segments can make it easy, but many motors can make it expensive.

There's also the good old inverted pendulum machine- recently a two-wheeled segway-type robot has been a popular version of it.

You are a graduate student in control and have never heard of the inverted pendulum? A segway has two wheels at the bottom of a tall mass. It will fall over right? If you move the base in the right direction, you can keep the whole thing upright.

It's just an upside down pendulum where instead of a rope and ball you have a pole and ball. You move the base around to keep the whole thing upright. Take your palm open upward and put a ruler standing straight up on it. Now move your hand around to keep the ruler from falling over- same thing.

You've never heard of this? You've never taken a control class? I would think it's a basic thing for autotronics/mechatronics. It's a very popular problem.

Another idea for your consideration.

A box with a flip open lid and a toggle switch at the front face, a motor driven hand object hiding inside the box.

When anyone toggles the front switch, the motorised hand moves out from inside the box and switchs the toggle switch back to its original position and then goes into hiding again inside the box.
