currently i am using BDX54C and BDX53Cs although i just realized that under load conditions the current can surpass 12 Amps! does anyone know of some Darlington pair transistors with a HFE of around 750 (min) that can curry such a current!

as the BDX's are only good for 8 amps.

How about checking out you local components dealer?

What about using MOSFETs?

I agree, use a MOSFET.

People who know the supply situation in your local area will be a lot more helpful than random responses from around the world.

Please put your location (continent at least) in your profile.
