Ok guys, i have an old XBox headset.... i want to use it to make something so that i can music and sounds down, but from a phono lead not from the origional microphone

so far i have take off the mic and stripped the wire and seperated tge bits of the coaxual cable

what do i do now..... if i touch the bits form the coazual cable on a phono lead all i get is buzzing

can this be solved?

Someone will help you, but you are going to have to be way more specific.

What is "music and sounds down"?

You disconnected the microphone and you connected the output of a phono to the wires that the microphone was connected to. Right?

Which output of the phono did you use:
1) Cartridge output?
2) Preamp output (or tape out, same thing)?
3) Speaker output?

Did you use coaxial cable from the phono?
