Please help determining what type of IC Chip this is

This is a circuit board I received from my boss to try and find and replace the burned IC chip. This is all chinese parts and probably hard to find. If I can just find another IC chip from another brand that works, I'll just use that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The partial numbers I am able to determine are,

EK2??2K

How about some information about where the board comes from, what it did etc.

Ok, I have some more info on the board. It is from a Mini Moto 12volt childrens ATV.

My "guess" is some kind of MOSFET switch. It seems to be that it switches power between the green and yellow wires. If it "blew up" that badly, odds are high whatever blew it also got through to the rest of the circuit, especially the IC controlling that 8 pin device.

The big heat-sink is discoloured, so it wouldn't be surprising if one or both of the power semiconductors bolted to it has failed.

The discolouration comes from the blown IC, so I don't think that would have any direct effect on the power semiconductors.

However, the IC failing could well be a result of a power semiconductor failing, or the IC failing could have caused the power semiconductors to blow.

The blue outline isn't the IC. The red outline shows the IC pins.

I think that the IC is to drive the gates / bases of the semiconductors.

It seem's to be a TA6586 take a look here if that fit.

I've found some dealers at eBay.

Check if Your driver IC ( U1 ) has any damage too.
It is direct connected to the Power IC!
Sometimes it is better to change it too when possible.
