Plasma ignition for IC engine

I am trying to build a plasma ignition to ad to an internal combustion engine and am using an inverter DC TO A/C as my additional source of power. I am combining the power at the spark plug. I figure 20,000 volts is already at the plug. In order to ad the amps I needed, I used 22,000 diodes at both sides of the a/c power to convert to 220 D/C with 6 amps. Using the 20,000 volt pulsed from the distributor. IT WORKS for only 5 - 15 seconds because it goes into ground fault and blows out the inverter killing it. Even with an added ground fault interupter.

PLEASE ADVISE! Help!

A regular spark is plasma by definition already.
