pic sim ide + win 8.1

Does the program pic simulator ide work with windows 8.1
When i install the program i get the message " unexpected error "
am i allone ???

Right click the Icon,[or the exe file] see the pop up menu, click Run as Administrator.

Also.. You cannot run the examples from the installed directory... You need to move them to the user directory.. namely the "My Documents" folder..
