PIC Remote Control

Hi all

I would like to build a remote control based on a PIC microcontroller. I intend to use this remote control with IR in order to control a VCR. So in the end this will be an universal remote control but much more inteligent than a 4EUR one. Is it possible?

You can certainly build a remote with a PIC, check my tutorials for details of PIC based Sony remotes. I've also used PIC's to generate Philips RC6 remote codes to control Sky Digiboxes.
