Working on building a simple PIC development board to test different code and have the ability to plug in a daughter board into the two headers thus adding to the flexability.Am aware that same is already offered in the market place but the ones I have seen have a PIC surface mounted onto the board.
I just need some input as weather the pins and header plugs are connected correctly. This is after several revisions that had to be made. Originally had an 18pin and 40pic sockets as well as an LCD output header.
I am after versatility and less confusion as to where to connect for a UART or servo etc.
Looking to etch by the weekend.
Wonder if temperature will affect etch time using Muratic acid/Hydrogen Peroxide solution? My shop is at 10 degrees maybe need to turn on heater?
Looks like you are trying to recreate the Microchip demo board layouts.
Have used this method for a simple dev board with all the common parts on the main board and using one or more cheap D25 type plugs to connect it with the daughter board holding the micro.
I use the dil header strip along side the pic to monitor signals or use breadboard wires to connect things off board.
All powered from the Pk2s USB cable after a little wiring mod to pin 6
The daughter board plugs into the two 2o pin headers. If you visit **broken link removed** and look for the TAP-28.
A very basic board and yes it is very similar to the Microchip development board but without all the frill.
