Hi All,

I've just started using Pic Debugger with the Microchip PicKit2 programmer - initial results fine, apart from one problem - the lcd display is blank when the program is in debugger mode.
I'm using the lcd routines by Ron Kreymborg

I've tried it on the 2520 chip in 6 bit mode on the lower bits of port B, and in the normal 7 bit mode on PortD of the 4520 chip but with the same results.

In debugger mode should I be getting a normal lcd display or does the debugger somehow affect things (?) that stop the lcd ? or have I still missed something more simple ?

thanks

Richard

Hi,

Yes thanks, the contrast works fine.
Have just run things up again this evening and hey - it works ! - tried so many full power offs last night without any effect - but now ok - must have done something but what ? - the joys of the Pic

Thanks
