PIC and PIC 18 Simulators

I've almost used up my trials for Oshon PIC simulator IDE. I personally don't want to pay for it, yet I am having trouble finding an alternative open source/freeware simulator. Does anyone have a recommendation on one?
 
I have written my code in mikroC development suite. Is it possible for me to just import the hex file or do I have to start over from scratch in MPLAB?

hi,
You can import a hex file into MPLAB, just make sure the CONFIG settings match what you are expecting.

Use the 'Program view' window to see the hex file.
