I'm searching for design schematics for a phase rotation meter. I hook up a lot of conveyor motors ranging from 120V to 480V. Does anyone know where I could get the schematics for this device? Thanks for any help you could give me.

I don't know of any schematics, though I know these are commercially available. For a microcontroller, it seems like a fairly trivial task. Do you have the ability to program micros, that is, what level of integration are you looking for ? (heck, you could just use a little motor as a phase rotation "meter" :? )

I use this circuit.

The pulse width out of Sebi's circuit is twice as wide when one of the phases is reversed, so it appears that this is a circuit to tell when one phase is reversed, not a right - left rotation indicator.

I've been thinking about an electronic Phase Sequence Indicator for a while - though I would like one without batteries. I suppose I could power it with a very small transformer, connected between two phases? (I don't want to use any connection to neutral). Anyone see any probs with that?
