Hi,
Can anyone share pointers on designing for PCB manufacture & assembly? SMT & thru hole mixed?

When I mix through hole and surface mount I put all the through hole on one side and the SMT on the other.
 
I try to keep everything on one side. Maybe some smt resistors and capacitors on bottom side, but nothing else.
