What are the actual voltage sources needed to run a PC, or in other words what are the voltage distributed from the power packs in PC towers

My objective is to run a computer inside a car with LCD monitors (multi screen system) also hook it up to the Audio Source Unit and Play 80gigs of MP3s and games and so forth. A cars battery plus alternator gives the car a voltage of 12 - 14.4 volts (the 14.4 coming from the alternator, since it supplies current to the car plus recharges the battery, note that this level is only available when the car is ruining)

Can any one help with this project?

If you search on google there's loads of stuff about using computers to play MP3's in cars - you need to make a switch-mode PSU, which converts the 12V car supply to the required voltages, +12V, -12V, +5V, -5V, +3.3V. You should find plenty of websites giving details.
