PAL20L8/GAL20V8 Interchangeability.

Hello all! I've recently obtained the schematics and code needed to make a floppy drive interface for my ZX Spectrum, however the design calls for some PAL chips to be burned. The PALs in question are PAL20L8 devices, can I substitute these with GAL20V8 devices?

Also the files are in .JED format, will I have to convert them and if so, how?
