As an American, what is it like living there? My brother and I have talked about it for retirement. Neither of us is fluent in Spanish, but we can get by (grew up in SoCal).

Do you miss our Constitutional protections? What are the police like? Corruption? How are American ex-patriots treated?

John

Hi John, Well I am Canadian, Not American.

Police in both Chile and Peru seem pretty good.

If you don't speak Spanish, it can be a bit of a Problem at times.
We Don't speak any Spanish, but we did OK anyway.

I met one american in Peru who married a peruvian lady and he seemed to like living their.

Personally I like Southern Chile Best.

Want to Talk, Email me your Phone number and I'll call you.
It is a Free Call for me.

Take care......Gary

I shared the pictures with my brother. Will get back to you.

I am reminded of a little rhyme by some of the pictures:

A one el Lama is a priest;
a two el llama is a beast;
I 'l bet you a pair pf pink pajamas, you have never seen a three el lllama.

Silly, but helps one remember the spelling.

John
