Hi,

My trusty old Hameg HM604 60mhz scope is in need of some replacement leads; there are so many around on the web, including hopefully good quality ones from the likes of RS and Farnells , but at a price.

Wondered if anyone can recommend any lower cost lead sets that are of good quality and performance and available here in the uk.

thanks

Critical requirement: assuming you are talking about 10X probes, the output impedance of the probe must be matched to the input impedance of the scope (likely 1megΩ and 20pF). Look for the input impedance printed right on the scope, or in the manual.

Hi Mike,

The scope is 1meg to 30pf - it is now only used for hobby / diy rather than its original work purpose.

Would seem like these leads, the cheapest from Farnells, would match
TENMA|76-102|PROBE, 100MHZ | Farnell United Kingdom

However the far east cheapies do not give any specs other than bandwidth, its hard to know if they are any good at all - though sometimes they can be decent and just do not have a brand name - hence my question.

The Farnell units appear to be good. They have a 1X - 10X switch which is handy when you need extra sensitivity for low frequency signals without having to switch leads..
