Opening and closing of elevator doors

I am working on a project to design an elevator controller for an elevator which services three floors. I am trying to design the opening and closing of elevator doors. I have attached a small document to show what l have worked on yet. I would just like to know if l am in the right path.

Is this going to be a toy elevator?

You forgot safety precautions to stop door closing if there is an obstruction.
