why do we say that output of washing machine is unpredictable and thermometer output is predictable???...which systems outputs are predictable and which one not...

any system that can be modeled accurately is predictable - it boils down to a transfer function so with a given input, the output can be predicted

The machine does not monitor clothes to ensure that they are clean. It washes for a while and turns off.

Some systems have water temperature sensors which emable them to control how much hot and cold water is needed to obtain the desired temperature.
