When looking at the TRISA in the watch window it has a hex value of 0x20 after setting all the pins to 0x00 in the program. Will this still allow input as well as output on that pin? If not, is there a way to make it so that it will be able to do output without loosing the ability to overwrite the code on the chip in the future?

Thanks,
Joe

RA5 is input only and the correspondig bit in the TRISA register is always "1".

Thanks for info. Thought that they were all i/o. Must have skimmed over that part on the data sheet and assumed it to be both input and output.

Thanks,
Joe
