Obsolete voice synthesizer data needed

Hi,

I'm looking for a datasheet for a voice synthesizer chip made by Texas Instruments in the 1990s (based on the date code).

I got the chip from a surplus internet site.

I've done a fair amount of searching the web without finding anything.
Any help is greatly appreceated with either a datasheet or the datasheet of a newer equivalent.

I think it was mainly a voice record/playback chip rather than a synthesiser.
There is a poor quality scan of a development board for it here:

Also, perhaps it was similar to a TMS3478 ??

If it is just a voice recorder chip that you need, then it may be that a modern equivalent would be much easier to use as they usually have the memory built-in whereas that old chip looks to me like it needs external memory chips.

Have you attempted to contact Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas? Their archive files should have the data you need - Analog Technologies, Semiconductors, Digital Signal Processing - Texas Instruments .
