It is in Australia. Modern parts (but the LM380 and LM3916 are not new) are cheap in America where they are designed.
The LM380 at Digikey costs $1.58 for one today.
The LM3916 in the pic costs $2.64 for one today.

you can use also 2 LM386N-1 in place of LM380 if its not available
the first one is easily available

I'm just having fun. If it's for a hundred it does not say so.
I buy these parts from Futurlec.
We could make a game of it and find the most outrageous price.

I think they charge outrageous prices because their stock is mixed up and they don't know what will be shipped.
Look at the pic of the "LM380". It shows an LM3916.

Look at the pic of the "2n2222". It shows a BC327.

Why do people buy cheap counterfeit junk from the other side of our world?
Why do people make cheap counterfeit junk?

EDIT: MONEY ripoff!

Doesn't Futurlec ship from Thailand? Guess you ought to know...
The pricing and shipping rates are good, just the waiting is a bummer. I order from them 3-4 times a year, no complaints.

Indeed, Futurlec ships from Thailand. However "farangs" (non asians) prefer to buy at Digikey, Mouser or at their local electronic shops back home.

Some items are much overprized at Futurlec.

I don't, I buy from this side of the world.

Weird thing is that I find Jaycar expensive and yet these jokers are 25 times dearer!!

And, yes, I know it's an old thread.

Mike.
