The little E Block 9V cell likes a charge termination at around 10.05Volts. Thereafter, it can be left permanently on charge.
You cannot say that unless you say how many cells the battery has. Older "9V" rechargeable batterys had a fully charged voltage of only 8.7V, not 10.5V.

Of course, you are correct :)

My design however uses currently available E blocks which seem to like the 10.05V cutoff.

Trickle current after cutoff is anything from 10mA to 1mA depending on how long the battery is left in the charger....a Day is around 10mA....a few Months is around 1mA.

The battery cannot overcharge. Ever.

Really simple :D And consistently reliable. The little PP3 E Block thrives in this kind of environment.
