Newbie Quetion

Logic Gates Question

Hey,
I'm a newbie to Logic Gates. I'm not understanding how to label the pinouts on a protoboard. Never have done it before, but I wanna learn. Just ordered a breadboard off the net. I dont have any examples on them but any help is greatly appreciated.
I think i've labelled pins 1 2 3 correctly?

That's correct. Just number the rest of the pins the same way per the package layout.
