Newbie Needs Power Supply Help

I'm currently trying to build a portable power supply to power a small Infrared camera, and an LCD screen. The camera itself requires 12 Vdc between 100ma and 300 ma, and the screen is ~5 volts (Not quite sure as it hasn't arrived yet.)

Basically, can anyone help mw with splitting the input voltage into two power rails?

A Voltage Regulator IC would do the Trick like a LM7805

Use IC7812 for 12 Volts and IC7805 for 5V supply.
