I'm new here- so firstly, hello everybody!

My original desire was to have a weather station so i could access the temperature from the network (simple http server) which i could access from my phone/laptop/home/office etc

Subsequently i've realised this is quite a big task and i'm interested in breaking it down a bit. The way i see it i need a compact http server (something like a router already running some form of linux + httpd might work?) and then a way of talking to inputs/outputs (maybe something like **broken link removed**)

I've found it quite hard to search for information about this sort of project but stumbled upon this forum and hope you can give me some pointers! So- any pointers?!

Thanks
Lee
