need to build a dc to ac inveter...Help!

hey everybody, this is my first post in these forums and i have a few questions for anyon that can find some time to help.

im building a windmill project and my output from the dc generator is about 12 v, not very constant..........and i need to invert that voltage to 120 AC to power a light bulb or any small load....is ethere anyone out there that knows of a circuit that will help me invert this volatge...also how would i regulae the voltage comming out of the generator?
