Need serious help on a project.

Hey,
I didn't know communities like these exist which off course can be a real help to freshmen/sophomore engineers like me.
Our professor gave us a project its an open project based on our choice but it should circle around the labs we've done.
The course I'm taking right now is Introduction to Electronics.

The labs we did during the semester were.

Clipping Clamping circuits
LED Zener diodes
Amplifiers
BJT circuits Comparator circuits.

I want my project to revolve around these things. I'd love to use Led, resistors, bjt's and a amplifier. (we have to build all of it on a circuit board)
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I was thinking of some kind of an alarm or something.

I recommend that you go through the list of kits at this link, choose an idea you like, then design it yourself. Many of these kits are relatively simple, and I don't mean that you buy the kit, just copy the idea.
