I ran into some problems fixing my brother's konked out instrument cluster.
There are some bad components that i have identified. But my search on google has been limited at best.
Component Position Component Code
TR5 C458 D 3J3
TR7 C141 E S 2
DA1 P209 S X
R10 2w 20ΩJ 3N3

I found out that;
DA1 is DAP209 from Rohm
TR5 might be 2SC458 from hitachi

Am i right ? Does any one know what about the others ?
here are some of the links to pics of the board.

**broken link removed**

Thanks Guys

TR5 will be a 2SC458, and TR7 a 2SC141, you already know DA1, and R10 is clearly labelled as a 20 ohm 2W resistor.

What does the J stand for after the ohm value of the resister ?

Thanks for the help, Nigel

ps; this is a little out of topic but is there anything i can spray onto the board to help it withstand age and corrosion?

J = 5% tolerance

They also have K for 10%,
some people wronly think you multiply the printed value by 1000

B = ±0.1pF
C = ±0.25pF
D = ±0.5pF, ± 0.5%
E = ±0.25%,
F = ±1pF, ±1%, Brown
G = ±2pF, ±2%, Red.
H = ±2.5%
J = ±5%, Gold.
K = ±10%, Silver.
L = ±15%
M = ±20%, (no color band on resistors),black
N = ±30%
P = +100% / - 0%
R = + 30% / -20%
S = + 50% / -20%
W= +200% / - 0%
X = + 40% / -20%
Z = + 80% / -20%
