need help with a RC car!!

hi! im new to this site and my latest project is to build a large remote controlled car. the problem i have is that i do not know where to get these circuits for a car and i need some1 to explain to me how the transmitters and receivers work and how to use them in the schematic.

Check out www.rentron.com, they have an RC section you should find very useful.

are you going to make your own transmitter, or are you going to buy one. If you are going to buy one its really easy.
