Need help in resetting counter

[VRL_15]

I am using PIC 16f887 and LCD display

I have implemented a counter from 00 to 99

I have connected a switch to a port which increments the counter value each time I press the switch.

I need to read the counter value after every 1 second and then reset the counter back to 00.

If anyone has an idea please let me know

Can you explain exactly what the circuit you're implementing this into is designed to do?
