need a little help

Hello just wanna ask if you can give me any idea about our project.
Specification are:
1.) It must have a counter or register or both.
2.) It uses a keypad for the input
3.) Output must be diplayed or used either sensors, motors, LED's , &
7 segment.

Can anyone give me idea..would help thx. a lot
Is there anything our there that can do the same job of a Keypad lock without the used of PIC?
Because we want to build it just using logic gates IC's.

You could do a keypad lock, ie. enter a code into the keypad and if it is the right code, it powers a solenoid that unlocks the door.

You should find some if you search this forum. I think I posted one 2 or 3 years ago.
