Need a circuit

I need to build a circuit for a class. But I have no ideas on what circuit to make. It has to contain atleast 1 diode, one op-amp, and one transistor. Take an input of some type to get an output with some LED's. Do you have any ideas on what I could make?

Just depends on What you call an Input?
 
Sorry, I should have specified, I am using either an AC function generator, or a dc signal, or both. And there should be different outputs based on how i start my inputs.
