What happened to a post about what was apparently a damaged motor controller for a Nano XQ100 quadcopter?
There were no links in that post, and by the time I responded, it disappeared. Was it just my imagination?

For reference, here is my intended response:

First off, for those not familiar with this toy, here is a YouTube demo: <deleted by author>
It is small.

Now, to your problem. What happened just before the motor stopped working? Did its propeller get physically stopped while power was applied? If so, there is a likelihood that the driver transistor for that motor failed because of too much current draw. Is a discrete transistor visible on the PCB board? If so, does it have an identification marking?

Sorry, it was one of the infamous quadcopter spammers. He was escorted to the door of the binary abyss.

Sorry, I was not aware of that ploy. Seemed like a genuine post-crash question, but I can also see potential for abuse. Last Summer, I had a wind-induced hard landing with a conventional helicopter (Falcon 40) and blew one of the mosfets. It was an easy fix.

Thank you for quickly addressing the problem.

John

Edit: I just deleted the link I unwittingly posted. Here is another post describing the spamming: https://www.reddit.com/r/shittykick..._no_need_to_create_your_own_products_anymore/

Edit2: This thread has already been indexed by Google. Maybe the thread shroud be deleted, unless someone sees value in informing others of the spam.
