mpams errors

hi there

i am trying to make a hex file for Nigel Goodwin tutorial 1.1

i load the asm file but when i go to assemble the code i get the error

"DOS ERROR. file not found"

what does this mean? what file is not found

i have all the setting as defualt stuff and i select my pic chip to program from the list

EDIT:- its ok i have now fixed my problem, mpasm does not like file names with two . in it like tut1.1.asm sily me :roll:

Yes, MPASM only likes standard 8.3 filenames - but using two dots in a filename isn't really a good idea anyway!.
