On a recent repair, after replacing the IC, I realized the board had assembled with lead free solder and I used lead (60/40) solder for the repair. Normally I have a separate iron for lead free, but this one slipped by me.

The repair was sucessful, but I was wondering if there is any long term affects of mixing lead free and lead solder together?

Other than ROHS certification, nothing since compatibility was one of the goals when designing the alloys.
