Just to let you know, MikroC can generate COFF files. All you have to do is goto Edit Project --> General Output Settings, and then check Generate COFF file. Also note that you are restricted to a maximum 2K of ROM space with the demo version of MikroC. I have used the generated COFF file to debug with a PicKit2 in MPLAB.
