Measure motor RPM

Would it be possible to measure how fast a motor is turning by the 0v-spikes as it passes the communicator? (YouTube - Measure motor RPM? is my test with an analogue multimeter)


The only thing you'd need to get around is using some sort of amplification (op amp?) as the motor pulls more current.

Also, I presume you mean commutator (not communicator)...
