The solution is much simpler, you are over thinking the problem, just ignore any member/thread/post that bugs you.;)

Geez gentlemen, have a sense of humor. I saw the picture and thought it was funny.
 
Scooby gang did it first though. Definitely reversed the polarity of something in nineteen seventy something... Or maybe it was nineteen eighty something. Had curly wires, whatever it was. Oooh oohh, Dr Who reversed the polarity of the neutron flow in the sonic screwdriver. I think that was in the 70's too. So maybe that was first - he was relatively young then of course. Oh yes, also, Rocky Horror Show (not the Picture), reversing polarity occurs in song!
