I want to replace the faulty front power switch on my 1978 marshall JCM amp, im just wondering if its the same size as the marshall amps today. I want to put one in that is the same size without having to cut the hole bigger, or have a gap from a smaller switch, its your standard rectangle looking rocker switch with a neon bezel behind it, im just wondering if the sizes usually are standard and not changed much

You didn't fill in your location, but if you're in Canada and near a major town, check out Long and McQuade. They carry replacement parts for Fender and Marshall, if I recall correctly. Otherwise I'd just pop out the original switch and take it shopping with me for comparison.

Of course, as Nigel said, you probably can't go wrong ordering the part direct from Marshall, although I can't say what they will charge for the part and shipping.
