Are you sure its DC?

The current must be conducting through his skin (i.e. the skin effect). Continuous DC would interfere with his heart (unless he's a Vulcan!)

The skin effect would cannot be applied in this example as it only works on very good conductors, that conduct evenly all the way through, the human body is a mix of different mediums with different conductivities and therefore the current will flow through the easiest path, usually the blood stream.
