Record it into your PC sound card and look at the waveform in a PC sound wave editor.

Just be sure to use some zener diodes etc to protect from the 90v ringing signal which would damage your PC sound card.
 
You'll be able to hear the difference. DTMF CID makes the same sounds as when you dial your phone really fast.
