I need to adjust air gap to lower inductance of coil. Biggest air gap i can buy core with is 3mm. I think i will need aprox. 6mm.
Any idea how to lower surface in the middle of E core? Thanks

Why not just try inserting a non-magnetic spacer, and so create a gap between all three limbs of the core?
