Hey, I saw this video on YouTube about making a monitor from a broken PC (with the screen still working). I wanted to try this myself and took out the screen from an old acer PC. The name of the screen is N150X3-L07. So I found this controller board on eBay:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/152316252912.
It seems like the screen is going in the LVDS interface? In that case my output doesnt look like it would fit. I can link an image with what mine look like. Also, there is a board connected to the screen, which I cant seen to find on the same screen online. This is probably an easy solution to this, but Im not very experienced in this area. Thanks in advance.

Pull the other end of the cable from the LCD panel, where it has a strip of tape holding it in.

Compare that to the white end of the cable that comes with the adapter board - that's what needs to be compatible.
The old cable will be specific to the laptop motherboard.

See the photos here; it may not be exactly the same connector as in these, but it's a similar idea:

Thank you very much for your reply. But what about that board which is already connected to the screen? Doesnt I need that?

That will be the backlight inverter board.

There looks to be a new one in the ebay kit, the narrow board with transformer - the LCD backlight cable (black & white wires) should connect to the brown header at the lower end, the white connector links to the "Inverter" connector on the main control board.
